Cervinia is celebrating a special moment for the Italian Alps: it was January 1936 when the alpine city located at the foothills of the Matterhorn (Cervino in Italian) welcomed the construction of the cable car that connects it with Plan Maison, which was finished just eight months later.
This was very nice but was not enough: five Valtournenche ski instructors decided that it was time to set up a skiing school in Cervinia. It’s been 80 years since then bu the legacy they have left is still what today makes of Cervinia one of the most enchanting skiing resources in the Alps.
We here want to thank the Scuola di Sci del Cervino for giving us those wonderful historical pictures to relive those unforgettable moments. As we’ve been loving the mountains for almost 100 years we at Restelli Gloves are proud to celebrate this happy anniversary.
