A long history… since 1920 in Milan

Producing gloves is not just a job but an art.
History, quality, and tradition are the values embodied in our brand.

It was 1920 when my grandfather and grandmother ventured into the world of retail near the Duomo of Milan. In that shop, they crafted custom-made gloves for an elegant and discerning clientele. At the time, gloves were a symbol of sophisticated elegance—an accessory to be worn on any occasion.

My grandfather immediately understood that his passion, curiosity, and strong focus on craftsmanship were only the beginning of a long journey—one that would bring great success and help revolutionize the glove industry. The company was, and still is, headquartered on Corso Sempione; back then, the leather tanning took place right where our offices stand today.

A major turning point came in the 1950s, when my father Piero, together with my mother, introduced the Sport collection. Almost overnight, the waterproof peccary glove lined with opossum became a Jet Set icon, and the brand began to gain international recognition.

The formula my father and grandfather used still holds true today: constant research, attention to detail, and the careful selection of top-quality raw materials remain the foundation of our glove-making. The values that guided them must be the same values we uphold now. This is not just a profession—making gloves is an art.

Passion, emotion, and know-how have run through our veins for more than 100 years and are an integral part of both the brand’s and my family’s story. A family shaped by two couples—my grandparents and my parents—who were deeply dedicated to their work and to each other.

Each of us has brought our own character to the company: my father was patient and thoughtful in production; my mother, who oversaw the style, was known for her agility and responsiveness. Today, I manage both aspects, knowing I must be patient yet decisive, creative yet practical. The pursuit of perfection is in my DNA.

Now, I embrace the challenges of the market with energy and enthusiasm, never forgetting what truly guides me in making our gloves: I never speak of price, but of love, patience, history, and value. These are the things that truly have no price.

Restelli Gloves: art, passion, tradition, and craftsmanship Made in Italy.

History

We are proud to be one of the oldest fashion brands in the city. Our story began in 1920, and since then, we have been making gloves every single day—for you.

Today, our gloves are still crafted in the very same rooms where production first began more than a century ago. It’s something we find truly special. Every time we reflect on it, we feel a deep sense of inspiration, joy, and pride.

We are genuinely in love with what we do. We love designing and making gloves just as much as we love seeing them worn by our customers. The thought that people across so many countries wear our products fills us with happiness.

Dedication

Each product is the result of an elaborate process made up of many stages—from the selection of materials to the final finishing touches, including color choices and meticulous handcrafting.

It’s a process that takes time and calls for deep commitment and passion from our artisans.
