A long history… since 1920 in Milan

Producing gloves is not just a job but an art.
History, quality, and tradition are the values embodied in our brand.

It was 1920 when my grandfather and grandmother ventured into the world of retail near the Duomo of Milan. In that shop, they produced custom-made gloves for an elegant and demanding clientele. At that time, gloves were a symbol of sophisticated elegance and an accessory to be worn on any occasion.

My grandfather immediately understood that his passion, desire for research, and strong focus on craftsmanship could only be the beginning of a long journey filled with successes that would revolutionize the glove industry. The company was, and still is, headquartered on Corso Sempione; back then, the leather tanning activities were also conducted right where our offices are today.

A significant moment of change occurred in the 1950s when my father Piero, along with my mother, introduced the Sport collection. In the blink of an eye, the waterproof peccary glove lined with opossum became the symbol of the Jet Set, and the brand began to gain worldwide fame.

The formula used by my father and grandfather remains valid today: constant research, attention to detail, and the selection of top-quality raw materials are the foundation of today’s glove production, whose values must be the same as 50 years ago. It is not just a job: creating gloves is an art.

Passion, emotion, and know-how have been running through our veins for nearly 100 years and are an integral part of the brand’s history, as well as that of my family. A family that saw in both my grandparents and my parents two couples dedicated to their work, encouraging and supporting each other.

Each of us has brought our own character to the company: my father’s distinctive traits in production were patience and thoughtfulness, while my mother, who handled the style, was known for her quickness and speed in responding to events. Today, I manage both aspects and know that I must be patient but responsive, as well as creative and practical at the same time: written in my DNA is the pursuit of perfection.

Today, I energetically and enthusiastically embrace the challenges the market presents, never forgetting what guides me in the production of our gloves: I never speak of price but of love, patience, history, and value. These are indeed things that have no price.

Restelli Gloves: art, passion, tradition, and craftsmanship Made in Italy.

History

We are proud to say that our company is one of the oldest fashion brands in the city: our activities began in 1920, and since then, we have been producing gloves for you every day.

Today, our gloves are made in the same rooms where the first production began almost 100 years ago. This is a wonderful thing, and every time we think about it, it fills us with inspiration, joy, and pride. We are truly in love with our gloves: we love designing and making them just as much as we love seeing them worn by our customers. The very idea that people in so many countries around the world wear our products makes us happy.

Dedication

Every product is the result of an elaborate process consisting of multiple stages: from the selection of materials to the finishing details on the final product, including the choice of colors and meticulous manual craftsmanship.

It is a process that unfolds over time and demands great commitment and passion from our artisans.

Details

Details are not mere accessories; for us, they are our trademark. They are the unmistakable sign of our Made in Italy craftsmanship.

Each product, being the result of artisanal work, is unique and stands out for the small details that make it a unique and inimitable design object every time. Our constant quest for new buckles, innovative processes, technical material zippers, and increasingly beautiful and durable stitching is ongoing and will never end.
